Who we are
More about XBY
Alumni of Bromley Youth Music Trust, still playing together
Formed in 1989, XBY is made up of alumni musicians and teachers from Bromley Youth Music Trust, conducted by Dennis Mycroft with associate conductor John Hargreaves. Most of us are past members of the Bromley Youth Concert Band who now pursue careers outside music.
We perform and compete nationally and internationally, have recorded for world-renowned composers, and play regularly for audiences at home in Bromley.

Play with us, or book the band
Former Bromley Youth Concert Band players of any age are welcome at rehearsals — Monday evenings in term time at Bromley Youth Music Trust. We also play for concerts and events, as a full band or in smaller ensembles.
